2007 Hunter Clinic Recap

Sportsman’s Warehouse in Phoenix once again hosted our 15th Annual Hunter’s Clinic on June 19th. Nearly 80 hunters and their guests were treated to a wide variety of presentations on subjects important to the outcome of their upcoming hunts.  Topics included Arizona Pronghorn History, State of Arizona’s Pronghorn, Optics & Photography, Taxidermy, Practical Field Care, and Hunting Tactics for Firearms and Archery.

In addition to the formal presentations, representatives of the five AG&FD regions with antelope hunts this fall were on hand to discuss the specific hotspots in the game management units drawn by the hunters in the audience.

Attendees who decided to become members of the AAF that evening were entered into a special drawing for a $100 Sportsman’s Warehouse gift card, which was won by Mike Bretz, Phoenix. We also had many fine antelope mounts on display. Those who willingly brought their mounts for display were entered into a drawing for a $50 Sportsman’s Warehouse gift card, which was won by Tom Smock, Waddell.

We would like to take this opportunity to thank all the volunteer presenters and Sportsman’s Warehouse store manager Bruce Gibson and his folks for the outstanding support they provided in helping us plan, set up, and conduct the clinic.  Sportsman’s Warehouse generously donated a Ruger model 77 rifle to the Foundation, which was raffled off during the clinic to help offset our costs. The rifle was won by Karl Koons of Phoenix.
